Last year’s “Day On The Hill” began with a tour of the Capitol where attendees had the opportunity to explore the marble and granite halls and learn a bit about the building’s history. Most importantly, however, they were taught how to navigate the legislative process should they ever want to bring their own issues to capitol hill.
The tour was followed by lunch with lawmakers and lobbyists who gave insights into the legislative process and answered questions throughout. Thank you to Sen. Luz Escamilla, Rep. Rosemary Lesser, Rep. Karen Peterson, Rep. Melissa Garff Ballard, and Kate Bradshaw for lending their time and expertise.
