Mentorship Program

A partnership between Utah Women Run and the Women’s Leadership Institute

Now Accepting Applicants for 2025’s Mentorship Program

ABOUT:

The Mentorship Program, produced by Utah Women Run and The Women’s Leadership Institute is designed to foster meaningful connections and provide guidance to aspiring women in politics.

It is a platform where mentors’ insights and experiences can make a profound difference in the lives of emerging leaders.

It is also an opportunity for mentors to grow their own network and make an impact.

Mentees will be paired with women who have already made an impact in their fields and who will provide one-on-one feedback and training on how to become more fully engaged in public life.

This six-month program will kick off in March of 2025 when participants meet and learn how the program works. Mentors and mentees will then meet once a month. Our custom Mentorship Handbook will provide structure and guidance throughout the program.

Utah Women Run and Women’s Leadership Institute Partnership:

Utah Women's Run and The Women's Leadership Institute have worked together for years, empowering women to become more civically engaged and run for office.

WLI annually hosts a 6-month, once-a-month, cohort-style Political Development Series from September to February. Women learn about the political players in Utah, campaign finances and communication, and policy issues that affect races from the City Council to the State Legislature. Graduation in February is a tour of the Capitol, being recognized on the House and Senate Floor, lunch, and a graduation ceremony.

In an ongoing partnership to continue supporting women in their desires to run for office, we have teamed up to create a joint mentorship program. Pulling on the support and expertise of those who have graduated from our cohorts and training, we are pleased to announce this mentoring opportunity.
